Пожарная машина имеет красный цвет. Существует даже такой цвет: fire engine red. Так почему же она красная? И не потому что это цвет огня или чтоб была заметнее... На этот вопрос даётся каламбурный ответ (хотя и с вариациями), понять который можно лишь зная английский. В часности, в нём обыгрывается значение слова ruler, которая может означать и линейку, и правителя. Fin с одной N обозначает (рыбий) плавник, а Finn с двумя - финна, Russian - это "русский", а похожее по звучанию "rushing" - "мчаться, нестись".
